02.01 Modern Family “The Old Wagon” Captures

I decided to start working on the “Modern Family” screen captures in our gallery since the series is currently on a summer break and to celebrate Ty’s 3rd Emmy nomination! I added the high definition blu ray captures of the first episode of season 2 titled “The Old Wagon” in our gallery.

Favorite Phil quote: “You know what? You can insult a lot of things about me: my hair, my voice, my balance-board exercises, but don’t insult my selling. That crosses a line. What line? Oh, you don’t see it? That’s ‘cause I just sold it.”

I will try and add more captures in the next weeks, and I thought it would be fun to share my favorite Phil quote for each episode I add captures of.

New York Times Emmy Interview

New York Times published a brand new interview with Ty because he got nominated for a primetime Emmy. You can read the preview below, and we added the full interview in our press archive.

ABC’s “Modern Family” again dominated the comedy categories of the Primetime Emmy nominations announced on Thursday. The show, named best comedy last year, is again up for the top honor, one of a total of 14 nods. The show’s six adult stars — Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara — each received supporting acting nominations.

As the lovably inept dad, Phil Dunphy, Mr. Burrell embodies perhaps the closest thing to a conventional sitcom character on “Modern Family,” though he freshens it with live-wire mania that borders on the clinical. Last year he won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a comedy, and he called this morning to discuss his new nomination and the lethal nature of the Emmy trophy.

I wish Bill and Max weren’t such great guys, now I have to root for everyone and that’s exhausting.” —Ty Burrell, Modern Family
